LOL Cure was my little "secret" in the 80's whilst I had long hair, wore leather and listened to hard rock. Mix tape would go from Street Fighting Man ( Stones ), to anything Zeppelin, to Behind Blue Eyes ( who ), to Sanatarium ( Metallica ), to Close to Me ( cure ). Last one would always get funny looks

As with the Ramones, they all weren't winners. But so many were fantastic I can't do without them. Check the name on the side of the boat. It is an '85 Whaler, same year as "The Head On The Door". A favorite of mine.

UPDATE: Well, after lots of work and sweat- it's finished. Ironically the flooded motor required opening the valley pan which exposed the broken lifter. https://gbodyforum.com/threads/working-after-morons.74068/page-3#post-712422 I replaced that lifter, replaced that valley pan (thanks Jim!!!), replaced the Chinesium rocker nuts with Clevite Pontiac spec nuts, did the new timing chain, and gave it a real tune-up. The new starter and remote solenoid work perfectly too. https://gbodyforum.com/threads/explain-remote-solenoid.73448/page-4#post-712977 The motor runs great, the transmission works correctly, we painted it and added some chrome doo-dads. It starts and runs like it should. Another Pontiac 400 is back in business and ready for duty.

WE WANT SMOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not my car so I don't abuse what I don't own. Maybe he'll comply.
not the tailpipe!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, the rings are still rusty. Smokes when you get on it because it couldn't be driven in the shape it was in. Now it can get some mileage and see if that does the trick. When I had the motor open it was super clean inside with the exception of some flakey rust due to the water. It must have been rebuilt and used very little before he got his hands on it. I believe it will tighten up as it gets used.
