So on my Cutlass, I have to really slam my drivers door hard to get the dome light to cut off. But if the door is shut nice and tight and the dome light is off and I push or pull the door tighter the light will come on. It will also come on randomly after being off for several hours. I took the bulb out b/c I didn't want a dead battery in the morning, but any suggestions on the possible problem?

There is a little "paddle" looking piece of plastic on the lower edge of the door. Is that the switch? If so, mine looks like it may be broken on the tip.

The switch should be a little button-looking deal on the forward/upright edge of the door frame, on the body. It sounds like the switch going out or its broken internally. I'd just push it in and out a few times and see what the light does. Dunno if they can be adjusted or not.

I had no trouble finding a replacement.... in the HELP section I believe.
Easy to replace, they have a cool way of self adjusting to your door.

The paddle thing on the latch side of the door frame is for the seat belt tensioner. It releases the ratchet and makes it retract when the door is opened.
