Hey guys and (girls)
I'm rebuilding my door hinges, and have them together but cant seem to get the pin inserted all the way, I've been pounding it with a 2# hammer but it won't seat. Anyone have some special way of installing it. I'm afraid I'll bend the hinge, if I already haven't .
Thanks

Press and proper bracing/cribbing so it won't bend when pressed in

Normally, the pins slide right on after installing new bushings. I never had to beat them on...maybe give the bushings a light tap, that's all.

Thanks streetbu,
Picked up a H.F. arbor press and braced the hinge and it finally gave to my will, and pressed in. Now I need the spring compressor to get the spring back in. 1 almost done 3 to go.
