Door question

In the search for replacement sheet metal for my 78 Elco, I've found vendors selling 86-87 door skins. Is the mirror placement the only difference between those and the earlier doors? It appears that the basic shape is the same. Thanks.

Should be the same skin, But you are right, there were two differnet spots for the mirrors. If you are just replacing the skin, you should be ok.

Thanks. I just assumed the skins have the mirror holes punched already, which is what would make them 86-87 only. At worst, I'll just use the newer mirrors.
