Door/Window problems

Try raising the rear window stop if all you need to do is have the rear of the window come up some.

I'm having a hard time with window adjustment as well. I jsut installed new outer window felt and the upper rubber. I can get it to close fine with the window up. My problem is that when you lower the window it tilts too far in and point inward to the interior. I tried putting the two top adjusters as far out as i can , but this causes too much tension on the glass and does not go up well and i still have the same problem. I tried adjusting the door last night and got really pissed as i dented the bottom of the door and chipped some paint off near the fender gap. I noticed that the gap at the rear of the door is enough i can stick my fingers in it. Im gonna take the fender off and re-align the door. It seems if you don't have the door in proper alignment, you loose a considerable amount of adjustment with the window glass itself. hopefully after i line the door up it will be smooth sailing from there.

BTW i was looking at the adjustments, the ones right near the door handle rotate the glass, the upper bolts that slide left to right affect the window adjustment left and right. Obviously there are the two stops with felt on top and you have the other top stops for the front and rear of the door, but one thing i noticed was the vertical track, i looked inside the door and it looks like the track has an adjustment in / out on the track itself, is that right? I feel your pain 83montess, i messed up my door already from being a smart A$$ and not taking my time, just out of curiousity, is it the passenger side or driver side that gave you trouble? My driver side only needed slight adjustment and was really easy, the passenger side is my problem now
