DORMAN Front Upper Control Arms

Anyone using these?

They are almost half the price of the Moog's.

It looks like the ball joint is riveted into the arm.

Moog's part numbers are CK620250 / CK620249

Dorman's are 520-138 / 520-137

I have them on my Regal and there were no issues with the alignment, but I haven't driven it yet other than back from the shop.

Are the ball joints riveted?

It appears from the pictures both are riveted. GM rivets theirs too. Is it a bad thing that they're riveted? I would think that would be better than the bolt in style, although if torqued right, it's ok too. Unless it's just a matter of not having a choice of ball joints.

Now are these the same arms with a different box??

I ask because you can get both under the "Alternate" numbers for less than 100 buxx.......

If they're CARQUEST parts, I've not used them personally, but never heard any bad things about CARQUEST stuff. You can probably bet your bottom dollar they're made out of Chinesium though. Like everything else nowadays.

I bought the Moogs from Rockauto

I went in for the " brand name game" for piece of mind.

I didn't want to buy a part from ebay thinking it was one thing but getting another.
