Got my crank pulley and got the reverse rotation water pump installed. The old pump on the 260 is a nice closed impeller cast iron pump, a good spare.
I got everything on the compressor clutch except the top plate. I am going to try a 3/8" fine thread nut, my puller isn't set up to pull it on, it is not Metric 1.5 thread, the 3/8" seems to fit, to pull the plate to the .030" air gap needed. I am ordering a new reciever/dryer and then just add oil and and charge the A/C once I get the serpentine belt set up on.

Good to see you're making progress.

Well working on the serpentine belt set up. I have both brackets on and the drivers side alternator and power steering bracket on, still need to attach the lower support. The passenger side will need a lot removed to clear the mechanical fuel pump. More pics tomorrow. And I will need a different top rad hose.

Well, this has been more fun that I thought it would be. Unless you like cutting and grinding, don't run a mechanical fuel pump. Also send the Ford crank pulley to Larry to modify, pain to mark and get right. If the original balancer ring is there, it makes a good template, which does help. The stock top rad hose will not work and the 950K6 belt that supposedly fits is way too short. I would have to max out the tensioner to even get the belt on.get the belt on. Any tips to figure out belt length is appreciated. Would I do this again probably not. The R4 compressor was a PIA to pull the clutch and reassemble. This is no fault of Larry's, his brackets are good. I still need to make a brace for the passenger side, will definitely need the support, I can see flexing. I think I need a 4.7 Dakota rad for the top, need to search that up.

The tiniest amount, should clearance itself. It doesn't contact the whole rotation, just one spot on the inside edge, must be a high spot.

They advertised it like 2 finger clearance???

Something has to be off.

I am running the full size pulley, the Dorman replacement pulley is the same size. Unless I go to a yard and pull a S10 pulley, it will have that clearance.
