It might be the difference. I know new belts stretch a lot, so I should be OK. I find V belt sizes need to be 2 sizes smaller than stock due to stretch. I wish there was a good explanation of the tensioner markings.
Another question if Larry is following this, why wasn't the adapter made the same thickness as the helicoli? Available material? It would have made my issue impossible, would have butted up and made it more solid all around, there is some flex. Just curious is all.
So both brackets need opened up so the inserts sit inside? That makes way more sense if that is the case. I have an adjustable turnbuckle with one side bent close to 90 degrees.
Thanks for the reply. I had that bracket but cannot find it. Now to find 9/16" drill bit for a 3/8" chuck. I think even my press is 3/8". Unless that got stolen too.IIRC 9/16" is the required drill size.
FYI The factory chevy support bracket for the AC works perfect for this project. It just needs a little more bend added to one of the ends.
