Hey Everyone. Last night I was installing a set of Western Chassis lowering spindles (11312) in m4 84 Buick. I got new bearings ( TMK-SET34 , TMK-SET6 ) , seal ( TMK-8871 ), spindle lock nut and new Powerstop rotors ( PWR-AR-8213XPR ). I had pre So I think I covered everything I would need to get this done properly. When tightening the spindle lock nut I seem to be running out of threads before I can get any, or enough pressure on the the washer (with the key for the slot on the spindle). In fact the key tab in the washer is bottoming out in the slot on the rotor and bending before it gets tight. The nut wont tighten any more and the rotor and bearing assembly still has some play, as in I can slide it in and out by about 3mm-5mm parallel with the spindle shaft. Am I missing extra washers to fill some gap? Did I forget to get something specific parts when using these spindles? Not sure what I have done. Would using washers to fill that gap be a bad idea? I know these parts are sometimes interchangeable with S-10 trucks, do I need something for the truck to make it all work nicely. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Did the bearings come with new races? Rotors sometimes have them sometimes dont. Even if they do ,they dont always fit all bearing the same.

finally got around to doing this. This is the difference I am talking about. I run out of keyway for the washer to sit in. Then the rotor / hub is loose.

It looks like you will need a custom spacer to make G body parts work. S10 use different inner bearings IIRC, Im sure you can get some pre 98 parts from a salvage yard cheap for a mock up.

Most drop spindles are for S10's & might use the different wheel bearings. I had the same issue w/the drop spindles I put on a 78 Malibu. Verify the wheel bearings fit properly on the spindle itself. If so, you'll have to get the correct S10 rotor (they are different).

Calipers & pads will still work.

I'm not going to the junkyard for parts. Rotor and bearings for a pre 98 s10 should work is what I'm hearing? I can't find any of that I formation on the summit or Western chassis websites.
