Yeah, I know I have a couple of friends that worked at a place called Auto Conversions in Royal Oak MI and they used to do the fake ones, I never saw the point of looking like a convertible but not actually being one.

That was the craze back then, dealers were even installing continental kits to gbodys

I remember a few customers ordering a top like the picture below on a Cutlass and Regal. There was one monte ss white with a blue top running around in my town with one. Believe it or not the cutlass and regal looked better with that top than the monte.

Most of them had pinky rings. The people in the video drove the Iroc's and Trans Am's
