Dummy light question

Do any of the dummy lights run through the ECU, or are they wired straight from the sensor to the light?

I am having a devil of a time getting them verifiably working on my Bonneville, and my only diagrams are for a gauges car.

They all are straight sensor to light. The only light conected to the ECU is the check/service engine light.

Cool. I guess I will be pulling the dash out and tracing wires at some point. Or installing gauges...
