What a cool everyday car! And so clean. But these mechanical issues are just the car saying it wants a Buick V-8, a 350 would be perfect.
Thank you. It is not super clean, but nice. Just the way I wanted it so I can take it to say Walmart and not worry about it. You older guys are funny. Maybe if I had some old antique Buick engines laying around. What I do have is a bunch of newer 3.8 stuff and Chevy parts.

I wonder how long a TH200 would survive behind a stock 455?

Oh, about… no wait, nevermind. It already broke.
🤣🤣🤣

That's a good question. I replaced the sweeps on my Caballero about 1-1/2 years ago, and the only thing I can think of would be the factory screw holes in the sweep might be spaced differently.
That’s my plan. Just drill new holes to match.

Well, a pretty fresh one lasted 40000 behind an 88 truck TBI 350 converted to carb. It failed spectacularly one cold December morning.

So, I'd say about a week behind a 455...IF you kept your foot out of it.

I was excited to see this 1981 wagon, until I realized it was a typo......
