Finally got the car done and took it to the dyno. Made 434hp and 384tq on a dynojet dyno at the wheels. Junkyard LY6 short block 243's that were slightly shaved and a Texas Speed Bald Eagle cam (227/234). can complain for a small cam. goal was 400 at the tires and made it plus extra. Gonna be a fun cruiser.

What does that equal at the motor? It would take me a while to figure out it is a LS under the hood, looks good. Unfortunately your bottom end issues are common to 455 builds, which is what lead to this. i prefer the Olds 350 over the 455 due to a much lighter resiprocating assembly, far less failed builds. The problem was a 100 ci deficit to make up, the new 4 inch stroke in 5140 or 4340 billet steel is actually lighter than the 330 crank I am using and stronger. Of course I am doing a 424ci 403, so what do I know. Wish I would have waited to get the same ci from an Olds 350, consider it, blocks are near free and the stroker assembly for 5140 crank, aftermarket rods and forged pistons, rings and bearings is around $2500 US. Curious, what do have in this LS build, all said and done? I am not ******** on your thread, how does it feel compared to the 455? I also hate an immobile car, I put in a bent rod 350 just to keep my 70 driveable, cannot stand a vehicle sitting, so I get why an easy to find LS was used. Enjoy your car.

What kind of trans and diff are you pushing that through? I'll be lucky to hit 430 in my C5 Z06 with a similar cam, BTR Stage2 turbo cam. Dynojets are pretty damn consistent though, I'll give them that.
I agree. Those are some optimistic numbers for the mods

Stellar result. Be prepared to shift that b*tch at 7000rpm to get the most out of it.

Nice numbers, I’m expecting similar numbers with my combo.
kinda strange that hp and torque didn’t cross at 5252..

Look at the scales for HP and TQ on the left and right - they aren't equal.
