Hey everyone , what inputs do are computers use, such as temp ,oil pressure, speed etc.
    this is on a 1983 Pontiac GP 3.8 v6 .
I'm in California so I'm trying to figure what i don't need , but still trying to keep my check engine light off.
    Thanks

The computer is an all or nothing system. You can't delete any of the sensors. The ECM uses a temp sensor, O2 sensor, throttle sensor, vacumm sensor, baro sensor, speed sensor, knock sensor, and uses the HEI pickup coil as a rev / crank position sensor. The ECM controls the fuel mixture, spark timing advance, EGR valve, and trans lockup.
