They look painfully similar to third generation f body headers I used to run. I wonder how similar they are in the headers. The Y pipe is most certainly different as they have quite different floor pans.
I used a set of F body TES pipes on one of my 81 Montes, the y pipe had to be cut into 3 pieces and rewelded. Still didn't fit right, the y pipe sits at a slight angle.

Hey at least you Chevy guys had these available. The 307 HO had horrible exhaust cat foward. Olds experimented with a similar setup and Ram Air, gained 30 HP. Too bad Edelbrock or GM itself didn't offer it as an emission's compliant set up for Olds powered cars. In California and similar restricted places there is probably still demand for this set up and the rarity reflects the price.

Its also direct fit that doesn't require custom fabrication. Shame there are so few direct fit performance parts for G bodies now. Everyone just pushes generic, universal fit crap these days.

The 'Direct Fit' deal is a Catch-22.... Sure, the stuff bolts on, but only works w/the original group of parts. Change something from that & those changes can impact the part that is a direct fit. Sometimes the universal kits are better despite their "One-Size-Fits-All" nature.

NOS is laughable from the condition/pics, but as stated, these emissions legal headers are no longer made, they do pop up every so often but if you need/want to keep emissions or just want to keep the cat-back setup, they are a nice fit. If I saw some Hooker 2050's pop up in nice shape I'd be tempted to get them as spares for my Monte's sets. Believe they flow a bit better and fit really well.

Supposedly its easier to change the spark plugs with Hookers over the TES. I have to use a special telescoping spark plug socket with my TES headers.

Another reason why I don't get how the sbc became so popular over everything else. Issues changing spark plugs and burnt spark plug wires don't happen on the Olds V8. Also removing the intake, even in car, I never remove the distributor. Now if Olds would have adopted a different front cover, one similar to Buick but with the oil pump still in the pan, no we are talking. Either way, hoard all these parts you sbc guys, you will start seeing parts dry up more and more as everyone and their dog goes LS. We have been dealing with it for years, new territory for you guys.

Don't have any burned plug wires on a HEMI. ;)
