Alright, alright, alright!
As the title says, there will be a meet-up in Ennis Texas on October 25-26, 2024, to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the El Camino, hosted by the Texas chapter of the NECOA (National El Camino Owners Association). Specific details are still being hammered out but the dates and activities are scheduled. There will be a cruise-in to a local food court on the evening of the 25th in Ennis. Saturday morning will be Show-n-Shine to show off the El Caminos (1959-1987), while that evening will be drag racing at the strip up the highway. I've already spoken with the owner/operators of each business and they will be happy to have us and give us prime spots at each site.
If you want to bring your El Camino or just come and visit for the day (for those who live close enough), come on down. We also have a block of hotel rooms at a special rate so if you want to stay the weekend with your El Camino, let me know. You don't have to be a NECOA member to hang with us.
The weather should be great as we'll be moving into Fall so past all the heat of summer. More details to follow as they get confirmed. Thanks!
