El Camino LS swap fuel tank

I’m finding a lot of info putting the LS swap into a car body. Has anybody posted anything for El Camino regarding the fuel tank?

Through my research, I believe people are using grand national or buick t-type fuel tank and sending unit. They are fairly cheap on rockauto but I'm not sure if the tank is a direct swap or if it's needs to be modified to fit

The grand national tank is completely different than a wagon or El camino. From what I have seen the Buick road master wagon tank is the closest to a direct fit. Also El Camino did have tbi fuel injection just have to use a pump for the higher pressure that the LS/4.8/5.3/6.0 uses.

Grab a 86 4.3 el camino fuel tank.. They're baffled that's what I'm using for my swap.. I have a 79 El Camino

Dixie restoration has the new 4.3 sending units.. I have one pair with a 255 walbor

Rock Auto has the tank with the sending unit AND TBI pump for about $170. Just replace the pump.
