This is tthe way i seen a friend pass tech with his el camino with the rear bars inside the car and not through the rear window. So i decided to do mine the same way. Ive seen a few people ask if it could be done. Just sharing.

As long as it is legal that is the way I would want it.

Maybe it's just the pic, but it looks like the weld where the drivers side bar meets the hoop has been ground. If it has, that ain't gonna fly. Could be just the way the light is hitting it.

I don't know much - but if my grade school math and science classes taught me anything it's that obtuse angles are better at distributing loads than acute ones.

But, if it passes tech, it passes tech.

All the rules say if I remember is that back braces must intersect the hoop no more than 5" down from the top of the hoop. Nothing about angles. Yours looks close enough that no one will say anything.
