So I have a couple wires I can use for my electric choke on my Holley carb and both have 12 volts with ignition on.
But when I put either wire on the terminal for the electric choke (which has it's own ground) I only get a reading of 1.8 volts at the terminal end regardless of where I ground it and if I remove the wire from the choke the terminal goes back to 12 volts, is this normal to get the very low voltage reading when hooked up?

Happened to me. I hooked mine up the oil pressure way. No issues.

those wires were originally for the emission nonsense sensor junk

I just ran an ignition hot right out of the fusebox

One of the wires I tried is for the alternator plug which I don't need with the 1 wire alternator.
