Hey guys, i'm putting a parking brake in my 84 cutlass and have all the pieces exept for this equalizer braket (photo was taken from another thread).
This is a cheap build and can't find the part under 60 bucks. does anyone know a good supplier that sells these, or how many Gbodies or other cars used this bracket? any replies are appreciated!

May not be a problem in Canada, but the fine thread 10mm adjusting lock nut is a pain to find in the US when you lose track of it. Ask me how I know....had to go to a junkyard and pull one off another GM...

Strange. Parts book lists an 11500760 which shows as an M8 x 1.25 locking nut. Did they get it wrong? Interchange number is 11516071, which is a prevailing torque nut without insert (has fugged up threads)

I thought the M8 x 1.0 was a fine thread.

Interestingly, the standard parts book doesn't even show an M8 x 1.0 prevailing torque nut anywhere.

Metric prevailing torque lock nuts are pretty easy to get from belmetric.com

I don’t live down the street from belmetric. On a Sunday afternoon when a $0.60 nut is holding me back from finishing the job, and three hardware stores don’t stock that little gem...😠

Well, problem would be solved if you could just hang on to your nuts...... :)
