I just did a 7.5 rear end swap in my 1980 Monte Carlo and now the emergency brakes will not hold should I adjust the back brakes out more or is there an adjustment I need to do to get the emergency brakes to hold?

Make sure the shoes are adjusted out for the service brakes first to make sure you can eliminate that part then work you way forward with the cables. Are the left & right rears new, what was on the car or new rearend? It could be old cables stretched past their usable limits.

I will try to adjust the shoes out but the cables were on the car originally before I did the rear end swap and they were working great before the swap
