Well I'm in ohio and don't have emissions eithier let me tell you what I did.
1. Replaced computer carb with normal (mine was from an olds 307).
2. Replaced computer distributor with one with vacume advance
3. Took off EGR and put on an EGR block off plate from ebay
4. cut out catalic converter (put in duals but just put in a section of pipe)
5. removed pollution pump
6. cut lines comming out of manifold and plugg them, get rid of the rubber lines too.
7. remove EGR module (next to EGR valve) and vacume lines.
8. Plug all ports on the carb except the one for the dist and the one in the back for brake booster (you can use rubber and not the original metal)
9. remove all un needed lines and wires. (there is enough wire to fill a kitchen trash bag)
10. enjoy the new found power and gas mileage!

that's what I have done so far you can do a little more like headders and glasspacks. good luck!!!

Why no more emissions testing? Are they too old for the test or did they stop testing all vehicles?

no emissions in Ohio either. They inspect semi trucks but that's it. It's probably because our factories put out enough pollution that it does not matter anymore! lol! It's nice though you can choose any motor and not worry about it. and the links don't work either.

Not sure if you have smog police like they do around here (road side inspections), but if you do then you can still get nailed. Emissions test area or not, it is illegal to remove emissions equipment in most areas. Just keep in mind a cop having a bad day who pulls you over for doing 5mi over the limit can then look over your car and nail you for everything missing from the emissions. Making it look like the emissions equipment is still there is always a good idea :)

nope no such thing infact have a highway patrol friend that told me how to do some of it. It only matters in Ohio in Akron, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland everywhere else they just don't care to stop old cars and get on thier knees and check them.
