I have posted here before, but finally ACTUALLY putting my engine in my car. 1972 Oldsmobile 350 being put into a 1987 El Camino. I was told to use the Oldsmobile 307 motor mounts. Upon installation, the engine sat way too high, as well as not actually fitting the brackets that were on the crossmember (is that the right word?) by 1 inch. Wish I could've got a picture of what I was talking about but my father already had put the engine back in the garage.

Those are the. mounts I used, and that is the stock crossmember from the 4.3 Chevy.

I have never seen frame mounts that look like that, when I pulled the 307 out of my 86' Regal the frame mounts looked similar to these.

I wish I would have known that before I cut them off and threw them away, my thought was how many people nowadays are putting Olds engines in a Gbody that didn't already come with one. Just more crap sitting around that I have no use for.
