Hey guys,

I'm currently running a 196ci 3.2l V6 in my 1979 Buick Regal but I'm looking for a replacement engine. I'm fine with running a V6 in this car but I'm over in the Netherlands and it's hard to find a Buick V6 engine.

I did found a V6 but all the seller can tell me it's a "GM V6". Could you help me identify the engine? All help is greatly appreciated!

He did supply some numbers and a couple of photos.

Springfield serialnumber: 32277
Engine number: 14063887
Manifold number: 14042539 =476512
Year: 1981
Carb: Varajet 2 Rochester

Yes. That doesn't look like a GM engine to me.

Thanks everyone, guess I won't be buying this. One more thing, if I find a Buick 231ci 3.8l will I be able to swap it with my 196ci 3.2l without modifications?

It's a 60° V6. The dead give away is how the valve cover overlaps the edge of the intake.
