I'm swapping out the 383 stroker thats currently in my firebird espirit (factory 305 car) Into my '80 cutlass.
will the mounts work in the cutlass or will I have to buy engine swap mounts? Also my cutlass is listed some places as having a 305 and others say 307, which one is it?

Didn't think 307 or 305 was avail in Oldses in '80(!)... If it's an olds engine just crawl up underneath and look for the CID cast into the bottom of the block in about ~1" high letters. (can't remember which side) If its a 307 it'll say so. If its a Chevy then it won't have it.

If your '80 does have the Olds 307 then I think you'll need mounts from a Malibu/EC/MC w/ a 305/350 (are they the same?) Otherwise the Chevy mounts should work. Not a chevy man so I can't say for certain.

HTH!

IIRC in '80 they *all* should have been GM Corporate Blue(r)(tm) Especially the Olds motors. Not sure when they switched to the black but I don't think it was until later (mid '80s range)

From what Little information I can find it seems the 307 came out in '80 but didn't make it to the cutlass till '81. every listing i've found has 305 and 350 as the v-8 options but the Delta's and etc. had a 307 option and no 305.
