355 with headers, I’ve checked everywhere for leaks and found none. The tick gets quieter as the engine warms up and is only really noticeable below 2000 rpm

LIFTER(s). That's my guess. Have a mechanics stethoscope? Or something to listen to the valvetrain? That's the first place I'd look if no header leaks.

Also, believe it or not, sometimes an old fan belt will make a ticking sound and fake you out. When I was about 15, I had an old car I was tinkering with (64 Impala convert) and it had a tick in it and I couldn't find it. I was just about to rip the valve covers off when a friend of my dad's was over at the house and asked where the WD-40 was. He popped just a bit of lube on the belt and sh*t got quiet instantly.

If you want see if you have any leaks in the exhaust slowly put a little transmission fluid down the carb. Do it in a open area though cause it gives off a ton of white smoke but you should be able so see any leaks with the white smoke

Oil condition? If dirty add some solvent and when it quiets down change the oil. If clean then add some Marvel Mystery Oil and give it a long time to work. The hole that feeds the lifter is about the size of a pencil lead- so- easy to gum up.

check the welds on the tubes at the collectors

Also check right at the header flange where the primary tube meets the flange at the head itself.

I had a weld get a pinhole and push outward between the tiny space between the primary tube and the header flange

I was able to feel it with my hand before the headers got too hot.
