Even God doesn't like the Olds 260

So I installed the Olds 260 out of the 70 S in my 88 CSC. It fought me every bolt and nut, including a toasted battery and cooked the Summit mini starter by over tightening the connection. It has a ram air set up, Sanderson shorty headers, 2.5" exhaust with a compact X pipe, Fast gate shifter and 3.42 gears.

When I saw the car for cheap, I asked if it was the original motor, he said not it seized up. I asked for the head and block casting numbers. It was a 260. I have no spare 307's or 350's right now, I should have picked up a pair of 77-80 windowed main 350's a few years back for cheap and my 403 is in pieces. So here the 260 sits. The 260 has a terrible dog reputation, this one for a sludged up abused one ran OK, felt better than 105 HP rating, no doubt the dual exhaust and more air feeding it helped.
