The steel tunnel that goes between the radiator and nose on my SS is kind of rusty, especially around the rivets that hold it together. Has anybody fabricated one or bent one up out of aluminum? Pics would be great

Are we talking about the radiator core support :?: I would think with minimal fabricating skills you could put one together. There aren't a bunch of breaks/bends in the sheet metal in that area

I could be wrong but I think he is talking the sheet metal enclosure that is only on the Monte SS that goes from the grill and then opens up to the size of the radiator, kind of like a large air box for the radiator.
For me since I have an aftermarket nose assembly all of that is made of fiberglass including the top plate cover.
You would most likely need a brake to make one because the mounting flange, but for the most part it is a very basic assembly and I'm sure somebody makes one out there.

This is the one on my race car. Obviously, a little easier to make because of less stuff, but it only took a day or so and 2 sheets of 2x4 26 gauge steel. I also used some HVAC tape from Harbor Freight. All in all less than $100. Very easy to make. Take measurements, draw it, then cut it out on poster board, make adjustments, then transfer to steel and cut out. I don't have any fancy sheet metal tools. I did this with some snips and a hammer and a vise for bends.

I know this is kinda a old thread, but for future reference I came across a company that sells a stock type tunnel.

The Monte SS ones are a completely different style the bottom piece comes straight in then angles down and goes to the bottom of the radiator and the sides would match that.
