I need some of these for my tail lights and it seems my hood latch cable is held on with them as well. What is the name of these fasteners and where can I find them in more abundance? Found this on eBay marketed as f body side marker retainer nuts. Thanks-Ethan

Here is the page from the April 1988 General Motors Standard Parts Catalog. Should cover what P/N you are looking for. You can take the P/N over to your GM parts dealer. I'm sure it has gone though a few updates to the part number itself but everyone still uses these. Hopefully they still have this available for you.

Best bet is to hit up O'reilly's or Advance or Auto Zone. They sell them in packs. You go that GM route you'll be paying $5 for each nut. This is one of those times you could probably use auveco or one of those fastener places where you can get a box of 25 for 8 bucks. They come in various sizes so you'll need to know which ones you have to get.

Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace have them in their hardware drawers. Every time I go to the junk yard I take plastic zip lock bags and pull all sorts of these as well as the tension clamps, and nuts and bolts from GM cars. Every once in awhile there will be a G Body and I make a killing of stripping it of nuts/bolts,
