Interesting, frustrating, and hopefully rare.

I know fleabay isn't everyone's choice for car parts, but sometimes you can get some fair deals on things.

Enter the first time in over 22 years I've been using fleabay that I CANNOT PAY FOR ITEMS WON. Worse yet, I can't communicate with the seller!!!!!

I won two auctions from a member here (albeit hasn't posted in 5 years). While the auctions were going on, I sent him a message via ebay about an item he had for sale, and gave him some background information on it. He thanked me and updated his ad.

Auctions end, I sent payment - or so I thought- via Paypal. It was listed as one of the payment options the person accepted. Pay pal goes into "pending" mode saying it was waiting for acceptance from him, but my credit card gets charged. I message him via ebay- nothing. In fact, I sent several messages via ebay messaging system to apparently radio silence.

I even tried using the paypal email address that Paypal had that I used for the invoice to pay. It bounced back to me. I check the Paypal site FAQ and help stuff and it says a pending means that money was sent, but it may be blocked most likely by either wrong currency or bad/no linked email to seller's paypal account. We're both in the USA, so I doubt it's wrong currency.

Today, I get a message for each one basically saying to send payment. WTF?? I guess HE can send me messages, but the fleabay messaging doesn't work both ways. This is BS. I responded to his messages but I'm wondering if he's even getting them. I decided to start over. I cancelled the pending payments, and have messaged him to have him resend invoices....radio silence. Now I get to wait up to 30 days before they credit back my credit card.

Everything points to his end having some sort of issue. If I can't email him, or I can't message him via fleabay, I have no idea what else I can do.

I guess I can wait for him to open an unpaid thing on me and then I can provide copies of everything I tried to send him to fleabay's dumb azzes. I really think it comes down to his email account linked to fleabay/paypal or both being fugged up.

I may just go over in the corner and jerk off. At least I'll get something worthwhile out of this mess. Just knowing I'm going to have to deal with fleabay's dumb azzes over something I didn't do is going to be excruciating. The stupid is strong at fleabay.

I have purchased many years from "Fleabay" and have been EXTREMELY disappointed in the focus they have on profit and not on weeding out some fraudulent sellers. It seems most sellers don't even have product, yet sell it, hold your money for weeks, sometimes MONTHS, and then message you they will have to refund you back because they don't have an item, or that it was returned back to them damaged...meanwhile using your money interest free!!! I had asked the Ebay representative, where or what my compensation would be, they have no answer ...go FIGURE lol.... I know i'm ready to cancel my account

I'm somewhat familiar with the seller in this case. And based on recent and older feedback, he's 100%. Never in the past has the guy tried to hose anyone that I'm aware of. It's just that sometimes things go wrong, but at least you can usually send an email or message and get things worked out.

The point in this case is that for whatever reason, he cannot get emails NOR ebay messages from me. And the email account he has linked to ebay/paypal doesn't seem to be working so I cannot pay him NOR can I send him a message it appears.

Thus, it's going to look to him like I'm not paying my bills, which would be total BS. I always pay what I owe in a timely manner. I'm just going to sit back and wait until something gives. It's all I can do. I need new invoices to send him the payments, so...….

What I don't get is why he can send me an ebay message, but I can't reply to him, or so it seems.

And now EVERYTHING is taxed.
I may just go over in the corner and jerk off.
I try and do that at least once a day. But I'm so old I just can't remember why......

He may have his settings set so he is not receiving messages at this time for what ever reason

Sounds like the sellers paypal is locked up, maybe from not shipping out someone else purchase and there is a claim against it.

I dunno. It’s weird. He just had some feedback for stuff he sold end of May and all were happy with the purchases. Gonna wait and see. I’m sure it’s a glitch but I just don’t wanna get f’d over for it.

I was just about to call when I got a message via ebay messaging. His ebay/paypal addy wasn't correct.

Problem is, he didn't know how to resend an invoice. I used his "correct" email addy and sent him the money via paypal. I marked the items as "money sent" and we SHOULD be good to go. Anyway, paypal went all green check on me saying I sent money to the guy. He says he checked his accounts and verified his correct email addys. Well, I dunno what is going on, but earlier I couldn't send payment.

I think all is good to go now. I'll report back if anything else goes screwy with this.
