I also hate high shipping for a boxed item when it could just came in a protected envelope, example my timeline fine line tape 4rolls less than an inch and a half thick 5 inch diameter this come in an 8x8x4 box wrapped in bubble sheet not bubble wrap lol but it was like 12 13 $$ for shipping when the 2.50 envelope would have been fine. Do they "earn" extra $$ this way? I think the most cost effective safe and cheapest way would be to go with less waste also boxes stack up and recycling is soso about stuff now

I do like the "make best offer" sales but often the seller is only willing to go down a couple of bucks. Why even bother? Why waste my time? If my low offer is the best you can get- then be done with it.
There is so many different ways this could be interperted. It depends alot on how long that item is listed and how much profit is needed. Also are you trying to buy from a buisness or a person. I dont put a make best offer on my listings, people will email a seller either way and try to get an item for pennies on the dollar.
Why waste your time? It can be seen as the opposite also, why waste the sellers time with a lowball offer when the whole objective is to meet in the middle.

You would hate shipping with Amazon then.
