Hi Dickeymoor & all; I've been running one since 96! On two different 406's. My feeling is they save the valve train, plus they never wear out. No rubber between the inner & outer rings comparing to the GM OE units. I buzz mine to 6500 most every time I take it out. This engine has 13,000 miles now & the first one went 28000 miles. I tend to wear them out. Could have something to do with buzzing them to 6500 all the time. Ole' Bob.

i put a pile of money into my rotating assembly and figured it was a good investment over a stocker.

I have used Fluidampr, TCI Rattler and ATI balancers and all basically do the same thing just in different ways and with each one I have had many years of service without any balancer or engine failure and these are all on big inch BBC that spin above 7,000 RPM.
IMO I would never use a stock balancer on a performance build.

I also currently have a Fluidampr on my 355 SBC for my Regal, a Rattler on my 565 BBC that is in the car and an ATI on my new 565 BBC that is on the stand because it was the only one with a dual keyway for my application.
