FNG here with an 86' GrandPrix!

Hi there folks, just got our first G-Body, an 86" GP LE for our 16 year old to go with our 71 Cutlass Convertible (mine) and our 72' Monte Carlo (older son) and not sure the wife is speaking to me but too late for that. GP came recently painted and swapped with a 77' 350 SBC that turned out to be junk but we have lots of practice with those that's why I got it. (Both the Cutlass and the Monte have 383 strokers in them). GP looks good but needs a new console which as far as I can tell must be made out of vibranium because I can't find one anywhere. Anybody got one? Oh yeah have a 99' Maxima just to have a manual trans around but it's really fun.

Nice looking GP. The consoles get gobbled up pretty quick it seems if in nice shape, they seem to be the hardest to find out of all the g-body ones since less people are into the Pontiac's. Took me a bit to find a pretty good console, one that got shipped to me was damaged in shipping due to subpar packaging and they are big/brittle. Seems half the ones I've found are damaged to some extent.

Yeah the scoop was on it when we got it and I planned to remove it but it's growing on me. We live in Centre county but all our old cars registered as classics or antiques so no emissions inspection. Big fan of Hagerty insurance too.

Sorry but I was joking about the console, I did check on sending one that I did have to someone in the US and the shipping was a little over $150 due to the size of the container. You might want to check this link to see if there are any GP consoles in the yards in your area...
