I have been doing 90% of my own a/c work for a long time. My last "sniffer" cost me about $350. It finally quit and I stated looking for a replacement.
I found the one below on Amazon (in several places) for between $21usd $2usd.
It works very well for a cheepo. The only thing O noticed is that you have to leave the probe in place for a few seconds, where you are checking for a leak.
I found two leaks in my system when I got it.

Just Google WJL-6000 and it will come up.
