Got the 86 GP, and it had been sitting awhile.. The tires looked great, but two are date coded 2003 and two are date coded 1994. Even tho the car was stored in a climate controlled environment, and they look absolutely fantastic, I am still going to replace them. (My friend insists they're fine to run, I disagree).
Anyway, there is a bit of vibration/shaking, but only at 58-62mph.. before and after, they're smooth. I figured maybe they needed balanced, I had a couple packs of balancing beads laying around (I use them on my motorcycle) so since I was going to replace the tires anyway, I just thought to toss them in and use them until the tires were replaced.
Nothing changed. I DO know my rotors are warped - typical surging when stopping - I already have new rotors and pads, I just haven't put them on yet. I did get under it and everything -seems- tight, and it does have new sway bar end links, so Someone has been under there messing around.
My question is this:
I don't think warped rotors would cause a vibration only at 60, would they? Im leaning towards bearings or ball joints..?
Thoughts?
