As the title says, this is what I am going for in an 80 Malibu. Are the factory V8 AC springs enough to handle this combo? I don't think I can make the car much heavier than this combo!!!! Right now the car is V6 ac car, but I figure a steel head 454 and a t-350 are going to be heavy enough on their own and then keeping the factory aC as well should not really require me to cut the springs!!!! :ROFLMAO:

Yes, those 5660 and 5662 springs are STIFF! I have the 5660 in my silver car (cut down one coil) and I have an iron headed BBO with A/C in it. The 5660 would probably be perfect for your setup.

And, oddly enough, not stiff enough for my v6 sedan.

I found this on another site. It is the first time i saw a breakdown of what each spring should set at , stock height, 1" low, 1" high . No idea how accurate it is but maybe someone who has used these springs can verify if they are accurate
