fuel pressure gauge

installed fuel pressure gauge on a edelbrock carb the needle flutters like crazy when it's at idle and when you give it the gas.any ideal what would cause that happen or is that normal , its a Mr. gasket brand that attach on the fuel line made for drop filter air cleaner. it has a stock fuel pump and mild cam. its not liquid fill, not sure if that matters.

I had that problem some years back and had to bleed the air out of the line then it seemed fine. Don't know why that should matter.

Because air compresses with the pumping action, liquid does not

See if you can bleed the gauge or it will probably work itself out

i had that same problem last year,it would fluctuate rapidly.after reassembling the car this winter its smooth.no idea.
