So I've sort of started on my factory 4 speed Grand Am. Of course the floors are shot.
I've found several sources of full pans. All are Goodmark brand as far as I can tell.
Cheapest being from A2Z @ $390 shipped. All other brackets come in ~ $332 from Dixie.

So, my first question is, has anyone installed the full floor pan from the top side?.
All interior has been removed except for the dash and steering column, which will be coming out.
Doors will be coming off as well.
I'm not really interested in using used floors.
Thanks....

Hey Doug, At this point I'm not even sure if I am going to do a build.
I may sell it as is, complete the floors and interior and sell, or build it.
Not sure if I would go back to a factory restoration or build it the way I want it.
Either way, it will take years

Kent,
I've never done a complete floor replacement on my car, but from what I can ascertain, the floor pans drop in from the top side. You can pretty much judge by how the existing floors are laid in.
Besides, you also have the braces to contend with.

I had a complete floor put in my 87 442, the floor is for a el camino and is different in the back. I called a sew places to find out that is all they make, It says for el camino, must motify to fit. see attached pic

Would a full floor pan fit through the door?
or are you sliding it in through the front or rear window?

The full right side I purchased was to be installed from the top side. I don't think installing from the bottom would work anyway, the frame would be in the way for the full section.

That looks really good. I have a full drivers floor plan. It also says El Camino. I think the hump by the shifter is too rusty to fool with.
