Having a tough time connecting my Moser housing with Ford 9 inch 3rd member to the driveshaft.

After pushing the driveshaft forward, need to come back 1.50+ inches to mate with the yoke. But the u joint ends seem to be too large for the yoke. Ends measure 1 1/8 diameter, yoke seems to be 1 inch diameter. The clamps also seem too small, both in diameter and length...can't get them in to start a thread on the backside.

What's wrong with this picture?

All my race buddies are at the track, without me, and the parts stores don't open for an hour and a half.

Anyone listening have an answer?

Thanks for any help!!

raceoregon here. took out the driveshaft, u bolts from the ford 3rd member, took both to the local parts store. We found a ujoint that might have worked, but perhaps a little too long. solution was to buy the ujoint, then transfer only the smaller end caps on the existing ujoint connecting arm bar, since my original was in good shape to begin with. put it together, piece of cake, works like a charm!
