The theme for Feb. is WAGONS. Not wagons, or Wagons, but WAGONS. Post em. Any and all of them. This thread will close on Jan 31st. Still trying to get back on schedule and allow time for entries and voting! Don't forget every GBotM winner from here out gets a pair of 18" GBF Window decals.

If you can accept a work in progress, it at least looks like a wagon. DSC1961 is my first choice for a photo.

This is a 1980 Malibu Classic wagon. I learned to drive in its (almost) twin brother, long ago. I found it on EBay for sale in Colorado Springs. My wife helped me 'Buy-It-Now' while I was sitting in Dallas Love airport changing planes on a business trip, and I rerouted my return flight and drove it home. I later tracked down the original owner- purchased in Nebraska - from the dealer invoice in the glove compartment. The OO had it repainted, and I've seen the color combination on three other cars on the Forum. The OO also had a decent repower done from the original 229 V6 to a Goodwrench 350.

Much to my wife's dismay, I drove a functional car home - and took it apart. I replaced the engine with a self-built HO350 built with GM cam and Vortec heads. TobyP found me a GN 200-4R and I am reusing a Auburn/Richmond 3.73 7.5 axle I rebuilt 23 years ago. Jeg's G-body headers and dual exhaust will round out the package (still working out the crossmember). The stock brakes are all rebuilt with drilled front discs, but I have been collecting the parts to swap in Blazer spindles and LS1 Camaro rear discs.

My kids are completely psyched about roll-up windows - kept 'em busy for an hour, winding them up and down. Nobody knows what a payphone or manual window cranks are these days...

There is one WAGON that I saw, in passing, it was matte green on the bottom, and flat black on top. It did a mean G-Body Shuffle. I'll have to do some digging for evidence.

I took a few pics, but some of them didn't come out too well...time to do some over.
