I just stuffed a LS1 into my cheapo 79 cutlass. The Holley Gbody ls swap parts are the way to go. Those parts made the LS1 and 4l60e look like they were made to fit in this car.

Bah....fake news. :)

82-88 Olds G47 is where it's at as far as styling. But I'm a tad biased.

I love the early A-body styling the best, 68-72, but 78-88 is a great platform to put darn near any engine combo in it and have some room. Just some weak-azz transmissions and rear ends for the most part.
81-88 cutlass’s are Like a//holes every has one:ROFLMAO:

:ROFLMAO: Not around here. People have no idea what my car is. The lack of Olds badging does make it harder though... Good luck montecarlolady with the new '79!

I see no improvement in the transmission department.
4L60E, huh?
Early A bodies are 64-67, btw.
The 4L60E causes many popcorn eating moments.

If you get your car going so fast that parts start falling off, I could use some parts for my 79. So please remember I claim dibs...(y):giggle:

I'm getting a 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass. My good friend Ben buys and sells used vehicles, told him keep an eye out for a G body Oldsmobile Cutlass.Did go to an auto auction today getting a phone call from him.He found me a 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass in good shape, black 2 door and told him around $2,000.00 to $2,500.00.He got it for $2,100.00,has a tired 350 Chevy in it.My plans,ls3 swap done to it.Ben is going to get it Friday

Depends how origial you want it.350 was only 442,mine is original 305.Also true dual exhaust not available only 442 and diesel.
