Yes it's copyrighted. But for something so old, I don't think anyone would care -- you're not duplicating and selling them in bulk right. You got mp3s and burned movies, so go ahead and make a copy of the manual 😉

I had the door stickers replicated. You're not supposed to but I had no choice. Looks good too.

Can the old GM manuals be copied or is this against the law?

Any copyrighted item can be copied for personal use. If you are planning to scan them and sell CDs, you may or may not get a call from GM's lawyers. Depends on how public you are about it. Since GM needs every dime it can get, having a law intern scan ebay and send letters is low-hanging fruit.

I'm old school I don't have a mp3 or a cell phone.I don't even have a dvd in my car. The reason I was asking is that it would be great if you could get the factory GM parts manual on a CD the one the parts guys used. That would help a lot with restoring the cars. There are so few left and most are in the hands of collecters already. I had my chance at one but I was to slow when the GM deal was giving them away. What would be great is if there was a copy that all could view from your home computer. Thanks for the replys. There are already folks who sell those. Try ebay. Even Rock Auto lists manuals on CD.

I like the parts manual because if you are looking up a trim option it will give you a part number that you can cross referance to other models. Thanks for the replys

They are not on cd. Best I could find was a web site that you can buy a year to four year subscription to there web page. They have the factory manual that you can view on line.
