I have an extra 32mm front sway bar (as used on the F41 equipped G bodies) that I want to install on my 78 Malibu. I have the Buick parts book for 82-87 Regals. In group 7.243 they show part 472118 for F41 cars but it shows 30mm. I am not sure if that is a typo as my original 87 GN has a 32mm bar. They do show the F41 cars using bar number 472116.
I suppose I am looking for someone that has an 82-88 Oldsmobile or Chevrolet book that could clarify this.
Thanks in advance!

Why not just purchase aftermarket bushings? I had a GN 32mm bar previously till i changed out to a 36mm F-body bar.

F41 472118 bushings have 30mm (1.18") holes. The 472116 stabilizer bars (coded CY) are 32mm (about 1.25") in diameter. A difference of approx. 0.07". Which means the bushing will pinch the bar slightly when tightened to specs with weight on the ground. Which is exactly the part numbers you want. Note too, the larger bars take a larger "double hump" bushing bracket and smaller head bolts to clear the bracket. Brackets have the same space between the mounting holes, but the bracket part that holds the bushing is larger and the sides come close to the bolt holes. Thus, the smaller head bolts.

You don't want any gap between the bar and bushing. Just a little crush on the bushing, and that's where the 30mm around the 32mm bar comes into play. Once everything is tightened up, you won't have any slop, yet the rubber will still be able to flex a bit and allow the shaft to twist as needed (it really doesn't move that far at the axis points). The rubber bushings should keep things from bouncing around and clunking, but yet be flexible enough at the same time with minimal crush. Loose bars aren't effective.

Matching F41 bushing brackets for your setup above are GM p/n 14073310 (2 required) and the corresponding bolts are 15592554 (4 required). AND...to finish it all off, the end link kit is GM p/n 470147 superseded to 15991383 (2 required per car).

Thank you for the info. I have a bunch of frame brackets and the bolts with the smaller heads that I have saved over the years of parting cars out.

Additionally, for torque specs, GM says 24 lbs-ft on the bracket bolts, and 13 lbs-ft on the end link nuts. I know some people just do whatever they want, but there are actual torque specs for these guys.
