good terminals

where can I get the good terminals with heat shrink, not the cheap sh*t you get at auto part stores. i need to rewire my car and don't want to do i over in a few years when the terminals start to fall apart.

3M products are good. I have used those terminals and they work very well. You will be happy with those. Use an electric heat gun to shrink them and they will turn out nice.

Ive been using regular terminals without the shrink tubing already on them. A few reasons. Some I cut the insulation off and solder the wires and then use marine grade shrink. Others I crimp (depending on use) and cover the insulation with shrink tubing. I know it sounds nuts but I dont like all the terminals having multi colored insulation. Every wire had a terminal with black at the end. I also dont use butt splice terminals. Splices are soldered.

Go ahead Turna !!! I already know you think Im crazy !! LOL

BTW, if you need the Packard terminals you can get them in small amounts from Texas Industrial Electric. You'll have to buy the right crimper to get the factory crimp though. I bought one from American Auto Wire and it was a lot of $$. My buddy got one at Summit for less than half of what I paid.

why not get the non insulated terminals..... I use the non insulated butt splice terminals and shrink tubing
