grand national sending unit

Hello everyone i have a question about the sending unit on the grand national .
I have a 87 ls with the 4.3 tbi i was wondering if the grand national sending unit will work on my monte i see gbodyparts.com sells them for the 4.3 monte but for 200 plus. and the grand national sending unit is only 87 dollars on rockauto.com since the grand national one has the same 3 pin connector as the monte

The GN sender worked in my 81 Malibu. I would think it would work in yours too.

The Monte unit has o-ring fitting on it when the GN unit has a hose barb

Rockauto lists the SPECTRA PREMIUM SP172A1H for your Monte under "fuel pump & housing assembly" but appears to not have the flare fitting on the pressure line

I do believe most replacement Monte units have the fittings anymore

Thank you all for the replies this car has been sitting since 2013 .im just trying to get it road worthy the old sending unit was rusty and the gas tank was full of rust i already have a brand new tank for it what else do you guys recommend doing besides changing the fluids

If the tank was rusty inside, change the fuel filter and flush the lines while the tank is out.
