I bought this today at home depot. Its not in yet so I pick it up Friday. All the old timers at work use Makita so I know they hold up. So if youve been wanting an impact kit this is the best deal ive seen.

They have that in stock at my local, but the 8 piece looks more useful to me. Could use the blower to dry the car after washing it

2 saws a drill and a bunch of left overs no one buys into one "package deal"

1/4 impact.........meh

Vacuum????? really????? I bet it works as good as a 1984 dustbuster!!

160 lumen light, not bright at all

it does come with 2 3.0 batts so that is nice

Price out the 2 saws drill and 2 batts is it still a good price??

ALWAYS REMEMBER.....what home dopey sells is NOT the standard, even though they say Makita, they are Makita made for home dopey.

You can tell by the part numbers

A normal Makita drill part number is 123 but home dopeys will be 123a

I'm still holding on to my 18v DeWalts. They're getting harder to find now, but the batteries are still available on Black Friday specials. The jigsaw was the best add-on, and I'm on the lookout for the big impact driver with the hog ring retainer (as in lug nuts). 3 of them on EBay right now, all have bids on them. I just don't want one $209 bad or I'd Buy-It-Now.

You know you could update to the new batteries with an adapter if you wanted to.

I saw that. If I update any of my tools with 20V versions, that's probably how I'll roll.

Yea i guess its all in how much you use it. I use the impact/drill everyday and the 2 saws alot at work. The light and vacuum wont be used much if at all. But the drill and impact set is 225 so another 75 for the saws is worth it for me. I hate dragging a corded sawzall up 3 stories to cut a gutterboard out. They take a good amount of abuse for what you pay. My dewalt lasted like 3 yrs, got dropped from 2 stories multiple times including on concrete. I knew the welders at the big box stores werent = to buying from a welding supply company but I never thought about battery tools. Next time I might look into buying a "real" Makita set. Its to late now.

Why is it to late?
