Guess I'll Be Dropping the Gas Tank Next

In the past, while working under the SS, I would get a faint whiff of gasoline occasionally. Today I filled the tank and now the car is parked in the garage and I can smell gas. I hope it's as simple as a seal, loose fitting or even a porous rubber line. Even though the car has no winters and the chassis is oiled I'm sure the top of the tank may have corrosion.
During last winter the previously filled tank showed 3/4 full with minimal running time..

see the wet spot.....I hope it's a rubber line but this rust rot is common on the tanks.
