Hi everyone. New to the gbody world, just acquired a lq4 swapped 83 Grand Prix. I just replaced the headlights with a h4 conversion kit from Mikes Montes website. Comes with harness and everything. Question is for some reason the left turn signal quits working when I have the harness plugged in to the passenger side 3 prong plug. With the other led lights that came with the car plugged in it works fine. Has anyone had this happen with aftermarket headlight harnesses? Tried searching the forum and couldn’t find much on it

There are lights and then there are conversion kits the kits come with a square driver that helps the conversion if they are a direct connection some times there is too much power to convert but your signals don't use a lot of power but check to see if there is a driver or a straight connection make a small difference do the lights flicker when they are on ?

Before going to far into the wiring check all the easy stuff also. See if the hazard lights work. If they do it could be the flasher just died at a bad time or was week. The turn signal and hazards use two different flashers if I remember right. It is a cheep part to swap out too.

To clarify: the car already has LED bulbs in the turn signals and prior to installing the headlight kit the turn signals worked OK?

You mentioned using LED bulbs for your turnsignals. Are you using the proper flasher unit? Generally. LED turn signals require using a corresponding electronic flasher unit.
