Hard start when hot

Hi, Probably heard this topic numerous times before but I'm having a hard time with the stock 305 edlebach 14 0 6 carburetor Hard starting when hot Computer has been disconnected Swapped out distributor Lockout transmission kit Installed. Any help or tips appreciated thank you events

Vapor lock but sleeved fuel line and relocated away from block changed distributor transmission lock out kit double spacer one wood and one phenolic approx 11/2" thanks

Do you have any issues with the fuel return line? I'd guess your fuel pump has three lines-fuel in, fuel out, fuel return. Check that out for leaks & blockages in that line.

I blew that line out heard air go into tank

Hows your timing? Having it just a hair over or under could cause it too. Back track to when this started & what was done to it before it started to have the hard starts. Might be a simple thing we all can over look putting things back together.

8* advanced runs the best set there tried higher and lower stock is 6* but @ 8* got 18" vacuum there also thanks.

Timing sounds good to not have slow spinover when hot.. Rich mixture can also cause harder starting when hot. Weak spark can also contribute.

Hey, think I found the problem. You got a Chinese knock off carburetor called edelbach. No wonder.

So when the car is hot the engine turns over just like when it is cold but just wont start?

The Edelbrock/Carter AFB/AVS have had this issue since the 60's, fuel boils dry in the bowl.
