My brake booster vacuum line has a 3/8 male that should be connected to my carb.problem is the hole in the back of the carb is 7/16. I have searched high and low for an adapter that would connect them but keep coming up with looks like I do not know what I am talking about.am I missing something here?car is an 84 buick regal.motor is is an 305 oles with a Rochester 4bbl carb with electric choke.thanks

I looked around, nothing. Best bet is a junkyard. Fitting looks like this in the picture. The fitting you find may also have several small vacuum t*ts which come in handy for vacuum hookups.

You need an inverted flare to npt adapter.

How did you measure the 7/16 size?

While looking for various adapters. I could get a 7/16 male but not the 3/8 female for the brakebooster line to fit into it

Still having trouble is there a standard size for that fitting I am just going to order online.does 3/8female 7/16male sound right for a roschester 4bbl?

Why don't you remove the fitting from the back of the carburetor and install a 1/4" NPT - 3/8" hose barb and run regular PCV/fuel hose to the booster :idea:
